The ferry ride and self guided tours of the SOL and Ellis Island were fun. Disappointed that the ticket did not include the pedestal. I thought when I read before booking included the pedestal. The Edge was great yet windy and cold.

It was wonderful from the moment I walked in, the logistics were fantastic. Everything was very well organized; you get on the elevator and it has sounds that make you feel like you're floating up to the 92nd floor in an instant. The view of NYC is spectacular! And playing with the balloons is simply amazing. I would definitely do it a thousand times over! Guaranteed fun!

+1 more

Elevators operated perfectly. Employees were friendly and informative, especially on the top. Listening to the Empire State Building employee on the 102 floor talk about the area around us was so interesting. He knew his stuff, very good! I could have stayed and listened for hours. The building was super clean, love that. Worth every dollar, we had a wonderful time

Visitor tips

  • Ideally, 45 minutes to 1 hour is sufficient time to spend at Edge NYC. If you plan to take part in the City Climb experience, then expect to be there for at least 2 hours.
  • Plan your visit to Edge outside of peak timings in order to have a more relaxed experience. Peak times at the observation deck include weekends, public holidays, and sunsets.
  • It can get surprisingly windy and chilly up at the deck, especially during night times and late afternoons. Make sure to bring along a jacket in case you are visiting at those times.
  • Invest in a combo ticket like a New York City Pass that lets you visit Edge along with a couple of its nearby tourist attractions for a fraction of its total cost.
  • If you cannot get your hands on the most-coveted sunset time slots, book your tickets for a late afternoon time slot and stay back to catch the sunset. You are free to stay for as long as you desire since the tickets have no time restrictions.
  • To catch the sunset from the observation deck, allow at least 2 hours for entry, as it's busy then. Check sunset times before booking Edge tickets, as they vary daily.
