The best part was teaching my girlfriend how to skate! The rink wasn't that full so I could enjoy it a lot, the staff was nice and the food was great.

While waiting in line in the cold seemed like it was going to be painful, Wollman Ice Rink had outdoor heaters for people waiting in line to stay cozy! Everyone was super friendly from the staff assisting in line to the people handing out skates! Will definitely be coming back to Wollman Ice Rink!

Wow, how cool! I really liked it. To be honest, this place was very good. My friends and my children loved it. The food is affordable, not expensive. The girl serving the churros was very friendly. The water was good. Everything was very nice.

From the moment you step onto the ice, everything else fades away. The cool air, skates gliding, laughter—it’s one of those rare moments of pure happiness. This beautifully maintained rink has smooth ice, making every glide feel effortless. Whether holding hands, watching kids gain confidence, or skating yourself, the experience feels special. The warm, welcoming staff, clean space, and energy-filled atmosphere make it more than just skating—it’s memories being made. A perfect escape! I’d come back again and again. The American Dream ice skating rink provides a fantastic, memorable experience for all ages and skill levels. The rink is well-lit, the music is upbeat, and the overall environment is incredibly inviting, making it the perfect place for a fun-filled day.

At first I was a bit confused on where to find the skate shop but ultimately I found it. From there it was smooth sailing, we headed in and had our skates within 2 mins tops. They let us in a few minutes earlier than our reservation so that was nice. Overall was a great experience and I will go again

As beginners, our children had an awesome time practicing with their skates that were available for rental. They especially enjoyed skating with the "walkers" to assist them! Thanks for a fun outing!

First time on the ice? Here’s what you should know

  • Choose a morning or early afternoon time slot when the ice is less crowded. It makes the experience calmer for first-timers and kids.
  • Consider renting a skate aid or asking staff for beginner support if you’re nervous about balancing on ice. It’s always a good idea to start slow.
  • Arrive at least 20-30 mins before your session so you have extra time to pick up skates, lace them up properly, and let little ones get comfortable.
  • Bring thicker socks than usual, as rental skates can sometimes feel loose, and comfort is especially important for kids.
  • Plan a cozy break after skating. Use the on-site café or nearby Melba’s for a snack and to warm up, giving everyone a chance to rest and recover before heading out.
  • If you’re new, don’t worry about doing long laps. Take it at your own pace, stop when you need, and let the kids lead the fun rather than worrying about speed or skill.
  • Remember: exits are final for the session. Once you leave the rink, you can’t come back that day, so plan any snacks or bathroom breaks ahead.
