Both Summit and Edge have pleasantly surprised me. Summit, in addition to offering spectacular views of the Big Apple, provides the incredibly fun experience of floating silver balls, as well as a glass-bottomed observation deck. At Edge, you feel like you’re in the clouds when you lean out over the windows, which are slightly angled toward the void. The sensation of standing on its glass floor is incredible.

Buying tickets is super easy through the app, and the venue has beautiful, immersive rooms. It was totally worth the visit, and the photos turned out amazing!

The whole event was a smooth operation from booking to doing it Unfortunately the cloud base was so low that it was suggested we reschedule our time slot which we did. The changeover of tickets was painless and the staff were very helpful Thanks for a great lifetime experience

Filled my childhood dream to go to Empire State Building as first I saw the building was in Superman from 70s. This first trip to New York as was my 50th on the 19th of March few days before seeing Empire State Building coming the UK. Very Happy 50th year old. 😀

Edge is simply a must-see!!! Stunning views of the entire city, an absolutely incredible experience—I managed to take so many great photos. They closed off part of the outdoor deck, but that didn’t stop me from taking excellent photos. Vessel is also great for taking photos from high up with a view. And it’s quite different!

Just married! It was beautiful. Never seen digital art like that before and it was the perfect place to spend for a honeymoon. I am desperate to find the scent when you first enter the museum.

A really fun museum—totally different from most museums! It was also a cool experience to see your own drawing come to life! Unfortunately, there were only about 10 rooms with light effects, which made it relatively expensive—you can see everything in under an hour.

Honestly, it was a very simple visit without much interaction. The welcome speech was great, and the view of New York's past in the elevators was also great, but honestly, nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously, the observatory is beautiful, and the views are great. We would have liked more interaction with the views of New York's past, more information, something more entertaining. We found it a bit too simple for the cost.

  • Arrive a few minutes early: Reaching early lets you start calmly, adjust to the pace, and experience the narrative as it was designed instead of jumping in midstream.
  • Don’t rush through: Many rooms use subtle lighting, soundscapes, and evolving visuals that change if you stay still and observe. Plan at least 60-90 minutes and allow yourself to explore slowly.
  • Go light on belongings: Travel light so you can move freely, sit, crouch, or walk around installations to view them from different angles.
  • If visiting with friends, try exploring separately: Because so much of Mercer Labs is about perception, two people often experience the same room very differently. Splitting up and then discussing your takeaways after can make the visit even more memorable.
  • Put your phone on airplane mode: The installations are designed to heighten awareness and perception. Turning off notifications can make the environment more absorbing and impactful.
